A multi-timeframe trend screener is a stock screening tool that checks the trend of a stock across different timeframes. Instead of checking one chart at a time, you can see the Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly and 15-Minute trends in one place.
TrendScreener is a multi-timeframe stock screener for Indian stocks that helps traders quickly compare these trends. It can help you spot stocks with bullish trends, bearish trends or mixed trend conditions without opening many charts.
TrendScreener looks at the Open and Close of candles to understand the direction of a stock. It then checks how price moves through important levels in the candle structure.
When the price structure supports an upward move, the trend is shown as Bullish. When the structure supports a downward move, the trend is shown as Bearish.
The same basic approach is used across different timeframes, allowing you to compare the trend of a stock from the bigger picture to the shorter-term view.
The trend is not decided only by whether the latest candle is green or red. TrendScreener looks at the candle sequence and the related price levels before changing the displayed trend.
Multi-timeframe trend analysis gives you different views of the same stock. A longer timeframe helps you understand the broader trend, while shorter timeframes show more recent price movement.
Shows the bigger picture and helps you understand the longer-term direction of a stock.
Shows the medium-term direction and helps you compare it with the Monthly trend.
Shows the daily trend and gives a useful view of the stock's current direction.
Shows the shorter-term trend using hourly price movement.
Gives a more detailed short-term view and can be useful for intraday trend analysis.
Multi-timeframe trend alignment means that several timeframes are showing the same trend direction. For example, if Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly and 15-Minute trends are all Bullish, the stock has bullish alignment across the displayed timeframes.
If some timeframes are Bullish and others are Bearish, the stock has a mixed trend. This means the short-term and longer-term trends are not moving in the same direction.
| Trend Setup | Example | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Aligned Bullish | Monthly ↑ Weekly ↑ Daily ↑ Hourly ↑ 15M ↑ | The displayed timeframes are all Bullish. |
| Aligned Bearish | Monthly ↓ Weekly ↓ Daily ↓ Hourly ↓ 15M ↓ | The displayed timeframes are all Bearish. |
| Mixed Trend | Bullish and Bearish signals are mixed | The timeframes are not aligned. |
CMP means Current Market Price. S/R means Support and Resistance. The CMP vs S/R column gives additional price-structure information along with the trend shown for each timeframe.
It helps you see where the current market price stands compared with the relevant price level used by the screener.
You can use the screener to quickly compare the trend of Indian stocks across multiple timeframes.
The screener helps reduce the time spent checking charts one by one. You can use the results as a starting point for further technical analysis and research.
You can filter stocks directly from the table. Click on the Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly, 15M Trend or CMP vs S/R heading to open or change the available filter. This makes it easy to find stocks showing a particular trend, such as Bullish or Bearish, without checking every stock manually.
For example, if you want to see stocks with a Bullish Daily trend, use the filter on the Daily column. You can use the same method with the other timeframe columns to narrow down the stocks you want to analyse.
This screener can be useful for traders who want to see the bigger trend and shorter-term trend of a stock on the same screen.
